You will be picked up at Nairobi by our tour guide / driver. After briefing drive towards Maasai Mara National Reserve. On the way panoramic view of the Great Rift Valley will be conducted. Other geographical features to be viewed include Mt Longonot, a partially extinct volcano. Mt Suswa a sister volcano seems to stay at a glance providing the undulating topography of the laid Maasai cultural manyattas and Maasai people. Lunch will be at your lodge after checking in and then evening game drive. Dinner and overnight will be at your Lodge. [Full board]
Day 2 |

Sunrise over the open grasslands signal the start of a full day on game filled plains of Maasai Mara. During the first hours of the morning, the savannah is filled with a special animation. This is when the larger predators hunt for their food, before the temperature becomes too hot for any excessive physical activity. This is the time we have the highest chances of watching a hunt in action ( also likely in the early evening). The colours of the landscape are also more accentuated, and help us to take great photographs of the stately black manned lion, cheetah or leopard, stalking defenseless herds of wildebeests and other herbivores. There will also be a visit to the Mara River. The park got it name from this river which contrasts with most of Savannah River due to their seasonal nature hence attracting a great variety of wildlife. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge. There will be optional activities but at an extra cost. This includes balloon safaris and a visit to Maasai manyattas. [Full board]

After breakfast say “kwaheri” to Maasai Mara and drive towards Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch.
